Privacy Policy

  1. Commitment to privacy — The purpose of this privacy policy is to assure you that we are committed to protecting the personal information you provide consistent with the purpose of this website, which is to connect transitioning and former military personnel with employers and service providers in the career transition arena. The information you enter becomes the property of Competitive Edge Services Inc. and, if entered through a co-branded registration page, to the Competitive Edge Services partner as well.
  2. Registration data — When you create an Applicant account, you will be required to provide your name, address, contact information and other career related data. By providing this data, you acknowledge that this information is being collected so that representatives of hiring companies will be able to contact you regarding your interest in gaining employment. You can modify your account information at any time by logging into the site and then clicking the My Account link under the Home tab. If you would like to have your account deactivated at any point, please send e-mail to CorporateGray@aol.com with that request.
  3. Resume submission — You have the option of posting your resume on Corporate Gray Online. During this process, you can decide whether or not you want to reveal your contact information to prospective employers. There are three options on the Resume Edit page:

    1. Public — An employer would be able to view your resume and contact information.
    2. Confidential — An employer would be able to view your resume and send you a blind e-mail, meaning that he would not know your e-mail address or other contact info unless you have that stored in the body of your resume, which you should not.
    3. Private — An employer would not be able to find your resume but you could send your resume to them.

By providing us with your resume, you authorize its release to all employers who pay for access to the Corporate Gray Online resume database. Competitive Edge Services will use its best efforts to restrict access to only those companies who have paid for the service. While we cannot absolutely guarantee that other parties will not gain access to the resume database through hacking or other illegitimate techniques, we do use security software to reduce the chances of that happening.

  4. External links — This site contains links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those other websites.
  5. Electronic newsletters — On a monthly basis, we will send you an electronic newsletter. The purpose of the e-newsletter is three-fold: to provide you with relevant career transition information, to ensure that your e-mail address is valid, and to give you the opportunity to "opt out", meaning to have your account deactivated by Competitive Edge Services staff. Because of the Government's OFCCP (Office of Federal Contract Compliance Program) rules, we must retain your account and resume for audit purposes. However, once we deactivate your account, no employer can access your information through our site.
  6. Privacy protection for minors — Corporate Gray Online is not designed for use by minors nor are we trying to attract them. If we learn that someone under 18 years of age who is not a U.S. Service member has created an Applicant account, we will immediately deactivate it.
  7. Changes to privacy policy — If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, those changes will be posted here. If you have any privacy concerns, please call us at (703) 690-6826 or send e-mail to CorporateGray@aol.com.
